Subject: RE: Asus EEE Pushback.
Hi,
Thank you for your interests on ASUS Eee PC.
We are expecting the Eee PC be ready in stores November 1st in the USA. As for Canada, it'll be about the same time.
We will add this product on our ASUS product line up when ready.
We will also have a "where to buy" section for the Eee PC.
Currently specs are not 100% firm yet, please check back with us later.
Thank you,
Donald Leung

In store 1st November but not 100% sure about the spec.... ASUS is really trying customers' limit....
November 1st... 2008?
Hi kyle,
Let me see...
...not 100% sure about spec as pointed out by onlinestorage...
...no word yet on FCC approval...
...Oct 11 Taiwan launch delayed...
dare i say you are a bit too optimistic? :)
Seriously though, Asus is clearly wasting a golden opportunity to (re)define a potentially lucrative market segment. The more they delay, the more they open up the market for their usual competitors.
Which, if you think about it, will benefit us end-users. So I guess, despite all these initial disappointments, we should end up being pretty happy by Q2 or Q3 next year. :)
i've heard about quantum pc's. Maybe we'll see them before eee.
Hi John,
So far, no one has been able to resolve the problems pertaining to qubits, especially decoherence. So quantum computing is really still in the (hopefully) not-so-distant future.
But between the Asus Eee PC appearing on retail/online shelves and qubits residing inside our lappies, I would say it would be an interesting race...
